English conversation between a boy and a Traffic Policeman…

Policeman: Hello. Stop. Can’t you see? It’s a red light.

Boy: I’m sorry, sir. I did not notice.

Policeman: Everyone makes the same excuse when caught.

Boy: Nothing as such ,sir. I am sorry. Actually, I am going to SBI. It's quarter to 2. They have a lunch break from 2 to 3. I thought I might have to waste a complete 1 hour if I didn’t reach before 2.

Policeman: Why didn’t you leave home early then?

Boy: You are right sir.

Policeman: If you hurt someone due to being in a hurry, it could be more troublesome for you.

Boy: That’s true!

Policeman: I’m sorry but I will have to issue a challan for Rs. 300.

Boy: But sir, it's not fair. You stopped me before I could jump the red light.

Policeman: What do you mean! We let people commit crime and then we punish them?

Boy: I didn’t mean that sir. But, please sir I am a student. My father has given me only Rs. 100/- for pocket money today. Please try to understand.

Policeman: I’m sorry. You need to be punished so as to encourage you not to repeat it.

Boy: But sir…

Policeman:  Do you want me to talk to your dad?

Boy: Ok,I’m sorry. don’t issue me a challan, just take Rs. 100/-

Policeman: Not at all! Do I seize your vehicle?

Boy: No sir. Here is the money.

Policeman: Take this challan. It’s valid for the whole day ; but it doesn’t mean you breach the rules again. Okay?

Boy: Ok sir, I’ll never let this happen again.

Policeman: I hope so.
